Dragon boat racing has been a sport in Southern China for the last 2000 years.
It is an ancient Chinese tradition and is a fast growing water activity in Britain today. Up to 10 people paddle the 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helm at the tail steering a straight course.Dragon boat races are traditionally held as part of the annual Duanwu Festival or Duen Ng observance in China.
The Møller Centre will take their paddles on Saturday September 10th 2011 at the River Cam in Fen Ditton for the Cambridge dragon boat race. Please come along and cheer The Møller Centre team on!
