A programme to support partners as they transition into new roles outside their firm. As a partner’s day-to-day engagement with their firm begins to decline, the programme helps build a practical exit strategy and take the first steps in making their life after their firm a reality. A win for the partner, their firm and their clients.
Springboard is a programme to support partners as they transition into new roles outside their firm. As a partner’s day-to-day engagement with their firm begins to decline, the programme helps build a practical exit strategy and take the first steps in making their life after their firm a reality. A win for the partner, their firm and their clients.
Begin the process of planning for the future by exploring the psychology of transition, the need for purpose and investigating the options that are possible in life after leaving the partnership.
This two day programme will be delivered in an interactive, discursive format based on the participants working through a clear robust process. Learning methods will include lecture, group discussion, peer review, learner centred questioning of experts, presentation by experts, small group reflection and crucially building a robust plan to ensure a successful transition.
The programme is designed around the idea of helping the participants move forward on four levels:
- By exploring where they are currently positioned, in terms of leaving their firms and also their attitude to the impending change
- Through biographical work they will identify strengths, passions and interests to develop or exploit further as they progress into their next career
- Providing information about the reality of roles as independent directors, in “Not for Profits”, in the world of employed work or academia
- Allowing time for reflection and planning about the next steps they will need to make to ensure the transition is a success for themselves, their families, their firms and their clients
Springboard is aimed at partners within two to three years of retirement or withdrawing from their partnership agreements.
